No. TikWatch works by monitoring public TikTok Live streams — just enter a username and we handle the rest. You never need to hand over your TikTok credentials or link your account.

How do I start monitoring a stream?

Go to the Live Monitor page (the first item in the sidebar), type in any TikTok username, and hit Connect. As soon as they're live, you'll see their chat, viewer count, and gift feed in real time. If they're not live yet, TikWatch will show "not live" — just check back when they're streaming.

Can I monitor my own stream while I'm live?

Yes — that's the main use case. Open TikWatch on a second screen, enter your own username, and let the AI Copilot flag buying signals while you focus on presenting. You'll see every buying comment highlighted, with suggested replies ready to copy.

What devices and browsers does TikWatch support?

TikWatch is a web app — it works in any modern browser on Mac, Windows, or Linux. Chrome and Edge give the best performance. It's not optimised for mobile (the dashboard is too information-dense), so we recommend using a laptop or desktop.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial on whichever plan you choose. No credit card is required to start. You'll be prompted to add a payment method before day 7 if you want to continue.

What counts as a "buying signal"?

TikWatch scans every chat message for intent keywords across 7 categories: Price inquiry ("how much?", "whats the cost"), Link request ("send the link", "drop the link"), Purchase intent ("i'll take 2", "I want this"), Shipping questions ("do you ship to Canada?"), Discount requests ("any discount?", "promo code?"), Product questions ("what colour?", "what size?", "come in XL?"), and direct Product mentions (your pinned product name).

Can I add my own keywords?

Yes. Go to the Watchlist page and add any custom keywords you want tracked — your product names, brand terms, competitor names, anything. Custom keywords get tracked on top of TikWatch's built-in signal library. The Watchlist page also shows how many times each keyword has been hit across your sessions.

How accurate is the signal detection?

Very good on high-intent signals (price questions, link requests, purchase intent). Casual mentions are sometimes flagged — this is intentional. In a fast-moving live chat, it's better to flag a false positive than miss a real buyer. You can glance and dismiss non-buyers in a second; a missed buyer is a lost sale.

Why did TikWatch miss a comment I expected it to catch?

Accepted Answer

This usually happens when the comment uses unusual spelling or abbreviations not yet in the library. Common examples: "colur" (misspelling of colour), "lnk" (link), "hw mch" (how much). We continuously update the signal library. If you spot a pattern we're missing, contact us at support@tikwatch.app and we'll add it.

What are AI Smart Replies?

When a buying signal is flagged, you'll see a "✨ Generate AI Reply" button next to it. Click it and TikWatch generates 3 ready-to-use replies: a Direct Hit (confident, answers fast), a Scarcity Sniper (creates urgency without lying), and a Disarm (warm and conversational). Each is under 18 words — short enough to type fast on camera.

How do I use a reply?

Click the Copy button next to any reply. It's instantly on your clipboard. Switch to your TikTok Live, paste it in the comment reply field, and send. The whole process takes about 5 seconds.

Can I include my product name and price in the replies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TikWatch reads the product you have pinned at the time and includes the name and price in the generated replies automatically. If no product is pinned, the replies are more general. Always pin your current product for the best results.

Are the replies stored anywhere?

Generated replies are cached in memory for your current session. They are not stored on our servers. If you reload the page, you'll need to regenerate them.

What is the AI Live Planner?

The AI Live Planner is a pre-stream strategy tool (Pro only). You fill in your products, target audience, stream duration, and goal. The AI then generates a complete session plan: an opening hook, a minute-by-minute timeline, product pitch scripts, objection handlers, comment-bomb questions to drive engagement, and a word-for-word closing sequence.

How do I use the plan during a live?

Generate the plan before you go live. Use the Copy Plan button to copy it to your clipboard, or Print to get a physical copy. Most sellers print it and keep it off-camera during the stream as a reference script.

Can I plan multiple products in one session?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can add up to 6 products per plan. The planner builds a timeline that rotates through each product with appropriate build-up, reveal, and close timing for the total stream duration you specify.

Is the plan saved?

Your last generated plan is auto-saved to your browser (localStorage). It stays there until you generate a new one. It's not stored on TikWatch's servers, so it won't appear on other devices.

What is Live Radar?

Live Radar combines competitor tracking and multi-stream monitoring in one place. The left panel shows up to 50 TikTok accounts you're tracking — it auto-checks every 30 seconds and shows a green live indicator when they go live. The right side is a 4-slot stream grid: click Watch → on any live account and they open immediately in the next available slot.

Why would I want to watch competitor streams?

Three reasons: 1) Timing — go live when your competitor ends to capture their audience as it disperses. 2) Research — study how top sellers pitch, handle objections, and close. 3) Counter-programming — if a competitor goes live selling the same product, you can match or beat their energy immediately.

Can I monitor my competitors' buying signals too?

Yes. Any stream you open in the Live Radar grid gets the full AI signal detection treatment — their chat is scanned for buying signals just like your own stream. This can tell you what questions their audience is asking, which is product research gold.

What happens if all 4 slots are full?

If all slots are connected and you click Watch → on a new account, TikWatch opens them in the last slot (Stream D), replacing whatever was there. You can also manually stop any slot and start a new one.

Where is Signal History?

In the sidebar, click Signal History (the lightning bolt icon). It shows the last 300 buying signals from all your monitoring sessions. You can filter by signal type, search by keyword or username, and see relative timestamps.

How long is history kept?

TikWatch stores the last 300 signals in your browser. This is local to your device — history is not synced to the cloud or across devices. If you clear your browser data, history is lost. We recommend using the same browser/device each session.

What is the Watchlist page?

The Watchlist page shows all the keywords TikWatch tracks for you. There are 29 always-on built-in keywords (not removable — these cover the core buying signal library). Below those, you'll see your custom keywords. You can add new keywords or remove custom ones. Hit counts are shown for each keyword so you know which ones your audience uses most.

No — Market Intelligence and Shop Lookup are Pro+ exclusive. The data infrastructure behind them (1000+ endpoints across 16 platforms) is significantly more expensive to operate than the live monitoring features. The Pro+ tier exists to cover those costs while still being cheaper than buying a separate market intelligence tool on top of TikWatch.

How do I upgrade from Basic to Pro or Pro+?

Go to your Profile page (bottom of the sidebar, click your avatar). You'll see your current plan and upgrade buttons. There are also quick upgrade arrows at the very bottom of the sidebar (↑ for Pro, + for Pro+). Upgrades take effect immediately — you're billed the pro-rated difference.

What's the difference between Pro and Pro+?

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your Profile page → Manage Subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then it stops. No fees, no questions.

I have a promo code from a creator. How do I use it?
